Counseling Services

Our counseling services aim to enhance the student’s participation in their educational program and improve their ability to function in social, emotional and behavioral capacities. Counseling services are provided by licensed social workers and certified school psychologists. These professionals provide individual, group, and classroom-based interventions to assist students with social and emotional skill development. This team functions as part of the multi-disciplinary team and helps coordinate efforts that support a student's academic success.

Counseling services assist students in the following areas:

  • Developing self-awareness
  • Displaying emotion regulation
  • Learning and practice conflict resolution
  • Gaining independence and responsibility
  • Accepting differences in others
  • Bullying
  • Academic struggles
  • Students may be referred to resources outside of the school setting as-needed
